Officials of the Sports Club of the St. Christopher Air and Sea Ports Authority, made presentations of plaques to three of their sponsors, during a simple but important ceremony that was held at the entrance of the Port Authority, located at Bird Rock.
According to an official, this was designed to show gratitude for the investment made by their corporate partners over the years. The official explained that this sponsorship has helped the club to cover some of its expenses related to its annual Whit weekend regional competition that is rotated amongst the Caribbean member territories.
Tishell McLean-Warner, President of the SCASPA sports club stated “every Whit weekend we travel to a member country to participate in our annual Caribbean all Ports Games. Last year we travelled to Tobago and we take this opportunity (today) to thank 3 very important sponsors who played a particular role in what we did last year. The agents gave sponsorships in the form of T-shirts and we want to take the opportunity to thank them today in the form of a presentation of a plaque.”
The inscription of the plaques expressed grateful appreciation for the contribution to SCASPA Sports Club in 2012.
Marissa Hobson representing Hobson Enterprises stated, “On Behalf of the Board of Directors of Hobson Enterprises Ltd, it gives me great pleasure to accept this plaque on behalf of the company. We have been partnering with the sports club for the last 3 years and we hope to continue doing so in future endeavours.
Also receiving a plaque was S L Horsford & Company Ltd, which was represented by Assistant Marketing Manager, Wallis Wilkin, who accepted on behalf of his company. A similar presentation was made to CONTEC.
