The first-form high school student, according to Caribbean360, faces three charges and although it is not said what prompted school officials to call the authorities, police said they were summoned to the school, in the city, on Monday, 21st February, 2011, to search the boy’s bag and found a nine millimetre pistol with a magazine containing five live rounds of ammunition.
When lawmen checked the serial number they discovered the weapon had been stolen.
The pistol was subsequently identified by the rightful owner.
Police charged the minor with handling stolen goods, keeping a firearm without a license and keeping ammunition without a license.
