The boy, 10 year old Kadeem Perierer of Godwin Estate, was found dead this morning, following a massive search that was being carried out by local security forces.
He was last seen alive on Saturday evening, (5th October), around 7:15 p.m.
Investigators are now trying to piece the puzzle together, to help determine the cause of his death and the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and now untimely death.
Inspector Gwendolyn Duncan, Sub-Commander of Division B of the Police Department said when the alarm was sounded Kadeem was wearing a white vest and blue plaid boxer shorts when he was last seen.
He was about 4 feet tall, fair in complexion, and has low cut hair.
Kadeem was last seen leaving Ken Rogers’ Shop on the island’s main road.
Also assisting in the search was a contingent of Island Constables from Ross University of Veterinary Medicine K-9 Unit, along with Prego, the police dog.
Meanwhile the Defence Force soldiers had searched the immediate hills.
Commissioner Walwyn, had also asked the general public for assistance in providing any information on the whereabouts of Kadeem Perierer.
The Commissioner had stated that “this is a child and we all have children; please give his mother a chance to hold her son in her arms again. Someone saw something Saturday night, someone saw Kadeem speaking to someone on the road, please call in the information to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477”.
He added, “Remember this could be your child who is missing. Please help us take this child back to his mother.” Unfortunately little Kadeem has been taken from his family forever. His family is currently trying to manage their grief with the loss of their young relative.
