Sentences Handed Down for Drug Convictions

 
In the latest advisory issued by local law enforcement, it was revealed that Bevon Swanston of Government Road, Nevis, was formally charged for Possession of Cocaine, which was committed 9th October 2012.

In the Basseterre Magistrate’s Court however Steadman Adams of Buckley was convicted for Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 10th June 2012 and was fined $850.00, payable by 12th October, 2012, or in default, will be confined in prison for one month.

Over in the Charlestown Magistrate’s Court, Chris Reddie of Bath Village was convicted for Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 3rd October 2012 and was fined $500.00 to be paid in three months or in default will be confined in prison for one month with hard labour.

Alex Thompson of Brown Hill was convicted for Possession of Cannabis, which was committed on 5th October 2012 and was fined $800.00 to be paid in three months or in default will serve one month imprisonment with hard labour.

Reese Williams of Lodge Village was convicted for Possession with Intent to Supply and was fined $3000.00 to be paid in six months or in default will serve twelve months imprisonment.
