Krenly Cannonier, of Parsons Ground, has been named on three mounts on the seven-race program, this Sunday 3rd July.
Other major highlights for the fans to enjoy will be the return of the ever-popular E Z Smile. E Z Smile has been absent from racing for slightly better than a year now, yet you can rest assured the striking gray mare will be ready to tackle her opponents. E Z Smile, a winner of six of her nine starts at Beaumont Park with two seconds, will carry the familiar colours of blue and pink stripes for owner Sally Martin in the “Filly Sprint”. Trainer Lebert Liking will once again give jockey Michael Semple a leg up as both rider and horse reunite.
Expected to be E Z Smile’s top challenger in this field of five going a four furlong dash is Mambo Beauty. Mambo Beauty has won six of her eight starts for owner D & S Stables and was impressive in her last win on June 5th. Mambo Beauty is trained by Ian Liburd and will be ridden by Lenroy Collins.
In another sprint during the afternoon, the “boys” will bust heads in a “Colts and Geldings Sprint”, as Movado, Murray’s Mazal, Al Portador, and Mr. Big Stuff will go a four furlong distance to see who can make it to the wire first. This well-matched group has drawn multiple winners and the Antiguan charge of Mr. Big Stuff, who has four seconds and four thirds in ten appearances at this Dieppe Bay oval.
The featured race of the day will find the much-anticipated return of Tizbig, making his first start in 2011. The 2010 St. Kitts Horse of the Year will confront High Wire Glory, Jack Idle, and God’s Grace in a six furlong sprint. Tizbig won five of his six starts in 2010 for owner Daislyn Sharpe. Trainer Bolton Wisdom trains the powerful son of Tiznow and has retained jockey Laird Bailey’s saddle services for Sunday’s race.
