Shooting Victim in Serious but Stable Condition-Says Police

The reports from the Public relations Office of the Police state that officers from St. Pauls responded to a report of shooting at Willet’s Housing Project, St. Pauls, and their enquiries revealed that Travis Matthew also known as “Chalice” of Saddlers Village, a young man in his mid twenties, was at the time doing some painting on a house when a masked gunman attacked him and shot him multiple times.

Matthew was then taken to the JNF Hospital by members of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) where he underwent emergency medical surgery. He is now warded in serious but stable condition. Officers from the Crime Scene Department processed the scene and have indicated that investigations are ongoing.

Contact with Public Relations Officer to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force, Inspector Vaughan Henderson, revealed that investigations are being made into the incident and the injured individual was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
