By MyVue Staff Reporter

Thursday, 30th December, 2021, (MyVue It was always going to be a great show, but no one knew that it would be as entertaining as it turned out. No one also knew that the contest would be dominated by one contestant, Nekirah Nicholls, with such poise and rhythm.

The expectation was for a very close race to the throne, but in the end, it was a “blowout” by the delegate sponsored by one of the leading insurance companies in St. Kitts. Her victory was by a margin of 69 points and her triumph was in almost every category.

Some had also speculated that another Nicholls would be crowned, but only a few held fast to that prophesy.

Their reference was connected to the crowning of the Miss Swimsuit Queen, Ngozi Nicholls, just one week before, on 22nd December. Nekirah and Ngozi are cousins and are now carnival queens in the same historic era of 50 Years of Sugar Mas.

Looking back on last night’s competition, there is no doubt that Sugar Mas in St. Kitts again delivered to the world, another first-class presentation that attracted a sold-out live audience, with hundreds more enjoying the splendor in the comfort of their homes, via pay-per-view.

It was a carnival queen pageant that many are describing as, “simply fantastic”.

In the end, the fans leaving the St. Kitts Marriott Recreational Center in Frigate Bay did so feeling satisfied that the judges got it right when they declared 26-year-old Nekirah Nicholls as the new Miss St. Kitts & Nevis.

The decision was also warmly embraced by a cheering audience.

The new queen, who holds a Master’s Degree in Finance, took “no prisoners” as she also grabbed the consolation prizes for Miss Photogenic, Most Popular Contestant Online and winner of the Runway Challenge, on Sunday, 28th November, 2021.
