After the music video premiered online at midnight Tuesday, Sir Mix-a-Lot weighed in on Minaj’s controverisal clip. “Ok after watching @NICKIMINAJ Anaconda 37times I only have one word to sum up my feelings. DAMNNNNN!!!!!!” he told his Twitter followers Wednesday.

Minaj was flattered by his review and shared a screenshot of his tweet on Instagram. “LMFAOOOOO. Life is so crazy. Thank u Sir MixALot. Still influencing us decades later. YouDaMan,” the rapper wrote.

“Anaconda” has been viewed 21.7 million times in 36 hours.

Minaj, 31, will perform “Anaconda” live during the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday. The rapper will also perform “Bang Bang” with Ariana Grande and Jessie J and “She Came to Give It to You” with Usher.
