Six Bills to be Debated in National Assembly Thursday

A government release has confirmed that Prime Minister Denzil Douglas will introduce and have read a first time, The Interception of Communications (Amendment) Bill, The Bio-Safety Bill, 2012 and The Government Auxiliary Employees Bill, 2012.

Prime Minister Douglas will also lead the debate on The Pensions (Amendment) Bill, 2012 which was introduced and given its first reading during the National Assembly sitting last month.

Deputy Prime Minister Sam Condor will introduce and have read a first time, The Immigration (Amendment) (No.2) Bill, 2012 and The Equal Pay Bill, 2012.

Deputy Prime Minister Condor will also lead the debate on the amendment to the Immigration Bill while Senior Minister and Minister of International Trade, Dr. Timothy Harris will lead the debate on The Metals (Amendment) Bill, 2012 which was introduced and given its first reading in the National Assembly during the March 29th sitting.

Attorney General Patrice Nisbett will debate The Bail Bill, 2012, which had its first reading in the law-making body on November 11th 201

The meeting of the National Assembly begins at 10:00am on Thursday.
