An upbeat Tobias said that for this year, “We have had more teams registered than those who did during the past four years.”
Tobias said that this is definitely a step in the right direction.
The president said that, at a meeting held on Thursday (31st March, 2011), evening at the SKNFA Office, some 34 teams registered for this year’s SKABA season. The meeting marked the registration deadline for all teams desirous of playing in the season.
The “A” division had an increased number of registered teams with 15 compared to last season, which featured 11 teams in the division. The Female Division had 4 registered teams while all 8 of the Premier Division teams met the registration deadline.
Among the newly registered teams for the upcoming season is PJ’s out of Craddock Road Nevis. PJ’s has now become the 2nd Nevis based team participating in the SKABA league along with last year’s finalists the Cotton Ground Rebels.
