Basseterre, St. Kitts (May 16th, 2022)— General Manager of the St Kitts Electricity Company Ltd Mr. Clement Williams will be representing SKELEC at the 2022 Chief Executive Officers’ (CEOs) and Leadership Conference, with a Corporate Governance Track for Board Directors, CEOs, Legal Officers and Corporate Secretaries. The event is being held under the theme ‘Leadership Matters: Learning and Living through Disruption and Dislocation’. The annual leadership event will be held at the renowned Atlantis Hotel in Nassau, Bahamas, from May 15th to 19th.
Williams, who is a member of the CARILEC board of directors since 2019 said that he’s looking forward to the conference presentations and unique opportunities for solving the problems of regional electric utility providers. “There is no doubt that the utility providers regionally are faced with unique challenges brought about by global geo-political issues,” Williams said. ” I eagerly await the opportunity to dialogue with colleagues about best practices and solutions in this post-COVID 19 era.
According to a press release from CARILEC, this conference marks the return of CARILEC’s in-person events, following a two-year hiatus, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There will be a meeting of the CARILEC Board of Directors on Sunday, May 15th, followed by the Opening Ceremony of the Conference to be hosted by BPL, and a Cocktail Reception, sponsored by the 2022 CEOs and Leadership Conference Platinum Sponsor, New Fortress Energy. Delegates will enjoy a front-row seat to a series of energy leadership sessions from notable speakers. These include a CARILEC Leaders Panel Discussion, moderated by the CARILEC’s Executive Director, Dr. Cletus Bertin; and an engaging discourse on ‘Advancing Energy Leadership through Collaborative Capacity Development’ by a panel of diverse and elite energy professionals, including Mr. Burlington Strachan, Director of Grid Solutions and Support Services at BPL.
