In an effort to support the St. Christopher Children’s Home, corporate St. Kitts have contributed greatly to make the 2nd Annual St. Kitts Run and Family Walk successful, said a spokesperson.
“The backing of all the ‘partners’ is very much welcomed and is a greatly appreciated gesture. It further represents their generous commitment to, not just the project, but to the Local Organizing Committee, as it seeks to continue to provide wholesome programmes and activities for the Nation’s future,” said a press release from the Organizing Committee.

The event is scheduled for Saturday 1st October 2011, gathering at the Royal St. Kitts Golf Club with registration starting at 2:30 p.m.
The 5K Run and 2K Walk will start at 4:00 p.m.
All proceeding will go to the St. Christopher Children’s Home.
The home is a place of safety for children up to nineteen (19) years of age, who are at risk in the Community and who do not otherwise have a place to live.
The Home relies entirely for its funding on voluntary donations and corporate sponsorship.
The St. Christopher Children’s Home was constructed and established by the St. Christopher Children’s Home and Service League Association Limited, which was developed in September 1935. The Children’s Home was officially opened in January 1950.
