This outstanding achievement by St. Kitts & Nevis follows other “firsts” that the country has experienced at the 2011 games. Just a few days ago, Kim Collins made history when he broke the 28 year 100m record, to make his mark as the new record holder of the games, with his stunning 10:00s finish in the event. Later in the day he moved on to secure the Silver medal in the Finals of the 100m.
Now team St. Kitts & Nevis is in the Finals of the male 4x100m relay, which is scheduled for Friday 28th October, 2011, at 7:00pm.
St. Kitts and Nevis will be running out of lane 6 and will be competing against other teams from Mexico, Bahamas, United States, Chile, Cuba, Brazil and Ecuador.
Meantime, Tameka Williams was scheduled to run on Thursday night at 7:20pm in the Women’s 200m. More details to be provided following the race.
