St. Kitts Continues to Struggle in Cricket

In response to Antigua’s total of 355-5, the Kittitian batsmen struggled to gain momentum with most of them showing signs of being out of form and making lackadaisical errors in their time at the crease.

During the Kittitians Innings Elsroy Powell was the only standout performer who stroked a solid 42 and provided the only resistance in a meagre total of 130 all out losing the game according to the rules, by 225 runs.

Cricket pundits in St. Kitts although disappointed with the teams’ performances they can sympathise with the players after the cricket league was paused here in St. Kitts and it never resumed so the most of the cricketers are out of sorts and shouldn’t be criticised too harshly for their failures.

Much blame is being placed at the doorsteps of the Executive team of the association, for its failure to complete the 2011 league and its shortcomings in making certain that the squad was fully prepared.
