The school was invited as part of the hotel’s Spirit to Serve the Community Program, and as one of their annual commitments towards Tourism Awareness Month. The program is geared towards encouraging the Federation’s youth or future hospitality executives into considering the hospitality industry as a viable future career choice, said a hotel official.

The trip commenced with an introduction to The Marriott Cooperation, followed by The St Kitts Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino and Customer Service overview. Then the Executive Committee was invited to speak to the group about their position and background within the company, continued the official, who was quoted in a release from the hotel.

Their orientation continued with a Heart of the House visit. Students were given up close and personal knowledge of the daily operations of Human Resources, Finance, Housekeeping, Laundry and the Main Kitchen.
