However, on Saturday 20th November, the total by which they lost was reduced to 8 but the taste of defeat was still left with the St. Kitts squad.
It all started when Nevis Masters won the toss and elected to bat first and made 132 for 9 off 20 Overs. Leading the way with the bat was A Liburd with 46 runs.
The pick of the bowlers for St Kitts Masters was S. Rawlins with figures of 3 for 10 off 4 overs.
In Reply St Kitts Masters could only muster up 124 off 31.5 overs, with Junie Mitchum Not Out on 81, which was still not enough for a victory.
Meanwhile, Rain had the final say on Saturday 20th November, at the Ramsbury grounds in Nevis as the planned action in the Masters Parish league was brought to a premature end.
The St .John’s team forfeited their game to the St. Paul’s team by first of all not fielding a team by the extended half an hour’s grace period and additionally showed up without a ball for the match.
According to reports, apparently they had the erroneous idea that balls would be sold at the grounds. St Paul’s therefore walking away with 2 easy points.
In match two, not a single ball was bowled as heavy rain swamped the unprotected pitch as the players for St. James’ and St. George’s watched helplessly from the safety of the pavilion. Both teams received 1 point each.
The next scheduled game is on Thursday 25th November at the Ramsbury grounds at 5 pm when the two leaders in the point standings so far, St. Thomas; and St. Paul’s will meet in what is expected to be a competitive game.
