St. Kitts and Nevis defeated Suriname 5-3 in the double header encounter played in Kingston, Jamaica.
The goals for St. Kitts and Nevis were scored by Brittney Lawrence in the 34th minute, Phoenetia Browne (36th,39th )and Kerisha Powell (48th, 85th) giving St. Kitts & Nevis its first points of the round and placing them third with three points, while Suriname finished pointless at the bottom of Group B.
On Friday, Jamaica who is last year’s winner will come up against Group B runners-up Cuba, in the second of two semi-finals at the same venue, with Dominican Republic and Trinidad and Tobago meeting in the first match. The matches are set for 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The two finalists will advance to the CONCACAF stage, to be played next year, as one of three qualifiers from the Caribbean, with hosts Cayman Islands being the third.
