This Saturday 23rd June, 2012, will debut the first Miss SKNFA Queen Pageant that has attracted the participation of six contestants.
In a MiyVue.com interview with SKNFA executive member and Pageant Committee Chairman, Dominic Stevens, he stated that the pageant is being used as an avenue to generate excitement among football fans here in St. Kitts and Nevis.
He added that the football association is planning to make the show an annual event that could possibly grow to become a regional contest, sometime in the future.
When asked how the contestants were selected, Stevens explained that the top four teams in the Premier Division, from the 2011 Playoffs, were asked to enter a contestant, along with the top the First Division and the Nevisian club, C.C.C Bath United.
He also promised that the show would be of a high standard, as all of the ladies are making every effort to put on a spectacular competition.
The six contestants are, Tricilla Arthurton(C.C.C Bath United), Shiwani Gumbs (Delphic Newtown United) Anthea Morris (Conaree) Kendresha Wattley (S.L Horsford’s St. Pauls)Claire Burke (St. Thomas Trinity Strikers and Brittney Duggins (RAM Village Superstars).
The host band for the evening will be the Grand Masters Band and the show will take place on Saturday 23rd June at Carnival Village.
