The contest is one requiring designs for Commemorative Stamps, marking the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
Chairman of the Sub-Committee responsible for the contest, Mr. Raphael Archibald, also indicated that members of the public generally, can also participate and put their creative skills into action.
Archibald, says students from tertiary level institutions, are also eligible. He however indicated that designs should depict the gains or achievements of Saint Kitts and Nevis, in any area of endeavour, during the 60 years of Her Majesty’s service as head of the Commonwealth of Nations.
Attractive prizes will be awarded in various age categories. The rules and information on the stamp design competition can be obtained at the front desk, Government Headquarters, on Church Street, said the chairman.
Prospective participants are urged to pay attention to the deadline for the submission of entries, which has been set for Monday, 13th February.
They are to be sent or delivered to the St. Kitts and Nevis Information Service (SKNIS) at Government Headquarters, Basseterre.
