Masud was a true cultural icon and liberator of the youth, whose love for country manifested itself in the selfless way in which he lived his life. Whether it was lending a helping hand to the troubled child on the street or speaking up for the oppressed women at home, Masud used his platform to pursue his cause and the cause of many with passion.
Few who had the privilege of interacting with him will forget his sincerity, humility and genuine desire to see his fellowmen achieve better for themselves.
H.O.P.E Nevis will fondly remember Masud for the way in which he actively partnered with us in our youth outreach programs, particularly via our Anti-Crime Campaign. His words of comfort and magnetic presence on the musical stage greatly resonated with young people everywhere and his absence now leaves a void that will be a challenge to fill.
While we grieve for having so suddenly lost him, let us however be grateful for the opportunity that we had to know him. The richness of Masud’s legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of all those he inspired and even in death, the light of his life will not fade.
H.O.P.E Nevis joins the rest of the nation in mourning the loss of this our native son and extends deepest sympathy to his family. May God comfort you during this trying time and may the soul of our dearly departed friend and brother rest in eternal peace.
