Environmental Education Officer Derionne Edmeade in a radio interview on Thursday (14th June) indicated that the department will have on show, the art pieces from a competition they conducted for high school and primary school students.
He then invited the general public to view the images that were created by the young minds of the school system, as influenced by their thoughts and the theme selected.
The street parade will precede the exhibition and will involve students from the primary schools. It is expected that a number of stakeholders, such as TDC and the Department of Agriculture will showcase green technology equipment.
The street parade will commence at Warner Park, before making its way through the streets of Basseterre, showcasing various environmental messages. It will end at the Independence Square.
Following the parade, an exhibition will be held in the square showcasing the different artwork and green technology competition pieces which were submitted by the primary and secondary school students for World Environment Day which was observed on 5th June.
