Students robbed at gunpoint

Information released by the Police indicates that one of the armed robbers was female. The assailants robbed the victims of cell phones, iPads, ATM Cards, cash, identification cards and other personal items during the September 11 incident that occurred around 7:05 p.m.

The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force are currently investigating the incident.

According to the Police release, the victims reported that the male assailants wore dark coloured clothing while the female was dressed in a yellow T-shirt and brown trousers. They also stated that the assailants left in a northerly direction.

No one was injured in the incident. Technicians from the Forensic Services Unit processed the crime scene and further investigations are ongoing by the CID

The police release states, “Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Crime – ACP Queeley said, that detectives of the Criminal Investigations Department have interviewed all the victims, and would like to make a call on the general public to call the CID if they have any knowledge of what transpired in the area on Friday night.”   

The ACP emphasized, “If you have seen something, or if you have heard something, as it relates to this or any violent crime, or any criminal activity, tell someone. Call the Violent Crimes Unit at the Basseterre or Charlestown Police Station, or any police station with your information.”
