The program has continued from since the early 1980s because of the high priority placed on education by local company TDC, which over the years has also demonstrated that it has a strong commitment to the development of the human capital of the country.
Officials at TDC have announced that on Saturday 1st September 2012, the TDC Group of Companies will present the 2012 Warren C. Tyson Memorial Scholarships at the TDC Training Room on Fort Street in Basseterre, at 9 o’clock in the morning.
The TDC Warren C. Tyson Memorial Scholarship Program was named after the first Chairman, Mr. Warren C. Tyson and started in 1981.
The program is designed to assist and support students entering public secondary schools across St. Kitts and Nevis. In addition to the young scholars receiving financial assistance they are afforded the opportunity to work as part of the TDC Job Training component.
