Despite the heavy rains associated with Tropical Storm Rafael, the games in the Caribbean Football Championships went ahead, despite the soggy conditions of the Warner Park football field.
Needing a win to qualify for the second round, both St. Kitts & Nevis and French Guiana had similar intentions going into the final game.
The Guianese however got off to a fantastic start when Pigree Gary opened the scoring in the 7th minute. The visitors doubled their lead a minute later, with a strike from Duncan Darcheville.
In the 72nd minute of play Pigree Gary added to the Kittitian & Nevisian misery with the 3rd goal of the match.
Kenny Douglas physio of St. Kitts & Nevis was expelled from the bench in the 79th minute.
In the earlier game, Trinidad and Tobago trounced Anguilla 10-0 to finish with a perfect 9 points and winning the group.
Scorers for Trinidad and Tobago were Jamal Gay who scored 4 goals, while Keon Daniel scored 3, Willis Plaza got 2 and Sylvester Tessdale finished with a solitary goal.
Trinidad & Tobago along with French Guyana will go through to the next round.
