The team was penalized for its decision to for ‘walk off the field’ causing the premature end of their game against SL Horsford St. Pauls. The players were said to be dissatisfied with a decision taken against the team by the officials in a game played on 12th June, 2011.
They have been given a five game suspension to take effect during the upcoming football season.
The Disciplinary Committee confirmed that “this sanction will also extend to members of Management of Delphic Newtown United present on the bench at the time of the walk off pursuant to Article 11 (b) of the FIFA Code”.
Further, pursuant to Article 16 of the FIFA Code, the SKNFA has decided that team Delphic Newtown United would forfeit the award, in particular the sum of the EC$1,500.00 as provided in the local rules and regulations.

- Jason Isaac
- Keithroy Saddler
- Dylon Ferdinand
- Elcardo Jacobs
- Ian Lake
- Kareem Mitchum
- Derrick Mills (Team Official)
Disciplinary measures have also been taken against players from the Village Superstars, the 2011 football champion team.
Mr. Joel Jeffers, Mr. Ken Queeley and Mr. Iroy Jeffers are the players being punished from the Village Superstars team.
The decision of the Committee in relation to Ernest Queeley was for a furtherance and/or extension of the suspension from the Bench for one match, which will be the first match commencing next league.
The Committee endorsed the red card that was issued by referee Stewart Rawlins to Joel Jeffers. He was also fined EC$1,000.00.Jeffers is being punished for verbal abuse against a match official and is in accordance with Rule 19 (e) of the League Rules of the association.
The committee was not in a position however to make any decision in relation to Iroy Jeffers, and accordingly dismissed charges brought against him.
