Tabernacle getting its new police and fire station Wednesday

The facility will house the new Tabernacle Police Station and the Tabernacle Division of the Fire and Rescue Services, said a statement from the Government.

A special ceremony has been planned for Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 and will be addressed by Prime Minister Dr. Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Patrice Nisbett and Mexico’s Ambassador to St. Kitts and Nevis.

Presentations will be made by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force and the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services.

Others down for remarks will be Permanent Secretary in the Anti-Crime Unit, Astona Browne, Commissioner of Police, Celvin G. Walwyn while an Overview of the Project will be given by Director of Public Works, Cromwell Williams.

Divisional Commander B, Superintendent Cromwell Henry will give the Vote of Thanks, a Community official will assist ion the cutting of the ribbon, the building will be blessed and a guided tour of the building will follow.

The construction of the building was jointly funded by the Government of Mexico and the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis.
