According to a spokesperson from the association, they are anticipating patronage from within the schools, community groups and corporate St. Kitts and Nevis.

The contest will be opened for participants in the following categories: Team Event comprised of 5 players; Mix-Doubles comprise of 2 players; Male Singles and Female Singles.

The tournament will be held at the Anglican Church Hall on Victoria Road, Basseterre.

Registration deadline is on Monday 2nd May 2011 between 9.30a.m -10.30a.m. Games start at 11am sharp. Registration fee is EC$20.00 per person.

The SKNTTA is also inviting participants to enter their2nd Grand Prix event to be held on  Friday  6th May, 2011 from 6.00pm at the St Peters Community Centre to aid in the preparation of the national table tennis athletes for the PAN-AM Qualifiers in Mexico (24 May – 4 June 2011).

Participation is free of charge and tennis players are being encouraged to showcase their talent against the National Table Tennis Athletes.

Meanwhile, the 3rd Grand Prix event is scheduled to be held on Friday 13th May, 2011 from 6.00pm at the Challengers Community Centre.

The SKNTTA said that they are looking forward to having a large number of persons participating in these events, as their support will go towards increasing the level of involvement of Kittitians and Nevisians in table tennis through the development of table tennis clubs and leagues with the communities and schools.
