The Letter of Intent was signed by Resident Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) Mr. Miguel Tsao and Press Secretary to the Prime Minister and Director of the Communications Unit, Mr. Erasmus Williams.
The Letter of Intent is aimed at the strengthening of bilateral relations between both nations. It will also help to promote other activities and areas of mutual cooperation.
According to a government release, under the agreement, the Embassy of the Republic of China has agreed to provide printed and online information concerning Taiwan Fellowship and Scholarship and offer priority opportunities for applicants.
They added that the Taiwan Academy has agreed to provide exclusive access to the relevant websites which contain rare material such as historic and diplomatic archives and facilitate the exchange of relevant information and publications concerning relevant topics and the learning of the Chinese language with traditional characters.
It is hoped that the bilateral exchange in the areas of culture, education and academia will strengthen bilateral cooperation between St. Kitts and Nevis and the Republic of China (Taiwan).
