Williams’ success in Russia comes on the heels of her world class performance at the Silver Jubilee Stadium on 3rd June, in the Female 200m.
Now fast forward another week and the national athlete is in Russia dominating the field that participated in the Moscow Challenge track meet.
Williams captured first place in the 100m with a time of 11.19 beating contenders, such as Yelizaveta Savlinis of Russia and Natalya Rusakova also of Russia who finished first and second respectively.
Williams is also the National Record holder in the 100 and 200 meters and currently holds the sixth fastest time in the world for the 200 meters.
Also competing on the day was Antione Adams who finished 3rd in his 200m final event but was the 8th place finisher, with a time of 21. 22 seconds.
Both Williams and Adams are expected to be named in the federation’s contingent to be represented at the 2012 London Olympic Games.
