TDC Fun Zone to Award Students for Academic Performance

In an interview with Lloyd Isaac from Li-Vi’s Inflatables, he told MiyVue.com that about four months ago, he met with the Chief Education Officer, Dr. Patrick Welcome, and he wanted to recognize the young people for maintaining their high academic standards.

Isaac said that his company then decided to sponsor a complementary day, to the top two students, in each class from every primary school on the island, along with the most improved students. This was eventually scheduled for Friday 20th April, at the New Town Playing Field, in Basseterre.lloyd

On Saturday and Sunday the Funzone will be opened to the general public, and the park will comprise of nine rides that they brought from Antigua, including wet and dry rides.

Isaac added that they will conduct a ‘Digicel Bronco Rodeo Ride Off’ where one lucky person from St. Kitts will be crowned at the end of the theme park, the 1st official Digicel Rodeo Riding Champion. They will be presented with a brand new BlackBerry smart phone.

There will be lots of other activities including Three Legged Race and Lime and Spoon, said the organizer.

The park will be open at 2:00pm daily.
