Teachers from Antigua depart St Kitts after Study Tour

 

The four women, Mrs. Veronica Haywood,   Mrs. Cheryl Phillip, Mrs. Bernadette Hazelwood and Ms. Hester Samuelfour were on a three day Study Tour.   The objective the Tour was to expose the practitioners to the elements of the Early Childhood High Scope Curriculum, as well as seeing the curriculum in operation.

According to reports reaching miyvue.com, the practitioners were attached to 3 early childhood centres.  The three were; Challengers Day Care Centre, Mc Knight Day Care Centre and Half Way Tree Preschool.

Co-ordinator for the Federation’s Early Childhood Mrs. Vanta Walters explained that St Kitts and Nevis has been using this curriculum for over 25 years and it is because of this, that other countries in the region have sent their early childhood teachers, for observation and training.
