The squad which is being headed by Osdel ‘Scottie’ Hanley, includes 13 athletes, Head Coach Donnell Esdaille and Grace Maritza Diaz as the Assistant Coach.
The team is expected to arrive in Bermuda on Wednesday as a result of them having to overnight in New York, according to Public Relations Officer of the St. Kitts and Nevis Amateur Athletic Association, Evris Huggins
Huggins outlined the reason for the athletes travelling to New York is due to the fact that Miami and New York are the only two gateways to Bermuda from St. Kitts and the Miami flight was already sold out.
He also indicated that the association sees this team as one of the better delegations they have selected in the past years as everyone has the potential to be a medal contender in their respective events. Evris also added that the games give the athletes an opportunity to qualify for the world junior championships and also the Olympic Games.
Evris also thanked Miyvue.com for their support of track and field.
