Willet noted that although his CPS team has dominated the tournament for the past several years, their performance last year was of major concern. He noted that the B team placed third and his A team was not even in the ranking. Asked about his current crop of players, Willet noted that there were some new players on board for this year’s tournament but that they would have been doing some work for some time now but the intense training has just started.
Willet’s son Tonito was also doing some work with the team as they practised at the Ramsbury Grounds and the great man indicated: “I asked him to come and help me. I do not know it all and I am always happy when I can get some help”.
He noted that the team was working on specific strategies and that come Friday, he was confident that they will give a good account of themselves.
