The players along with their coach and manager left the federation on Saturday 3rd, August 2011, in the evening, after meeting Puerto Rico in their opening round at Warner Park, St. Kitts, last Friday, 2nd September, 2011.
The game against St. Lucia has been scheduled for Tuesday 6th September.
In an interview with the coach of the Kittitian/Nevisian team, Mr. Clinton Percival, he admitted to MiyVue.com that their previous game with Puerto Rico was not a good game. He added however that the team is expecting a victory from their game against the St. Lucians.
The coach said that there is no promise that the same squad that played against Puerto Rico, will be playing against the St. Lucian team.
“We are going to have a session (meeting), where we will talk about our problems from the last game. No changes are made to the team as yet, that will be determined from the session; but I guarantee that one or two changes will be made” said head coach Percival.
He mentioned the 4 days the team had between each game and the disadvantage of having to travel to St. Lucia so soon.
He went on to say that during this period, he and the players took the time to analyse the game they just played with Puerto Rico, in terms of what they did, what they wanted to do and how can they better themselves.
That match was played to a draw with both teams not being able to convert their chances to much needed goals.
