Basseterre, St. Kitts, 29th May, 2018(MyVue News.com)- The people of Nevis are today reflecting on the life and work in culture, of one of the island’s most dedicated and committed cultural icons.
When news started to circulate that David Freeman had died, it was difficult not to express regret and sorrow over the loss, because Freeman had been for decades viewed as a cultural treasure.
His contributions as the most prolific fife player in Nevis will be remembered for generations.
He was also a master on the kettle drum.
His music and performances provided much excitement and entertainment satisfaction at Culturama and other events where he performed.
Hundreds of tributes are already being paid to Freeman who passed on Saturday morning, 26th May, 2018.
He was 90 years old.
