The D’Fx brand has been involved in designing costumes for several years. The team has also been providing make-up services for pageant contestants and custom designers.
However, this will be the first time that the group’s co-designers Corrine Poujade-Flanders and Roger Hick will be taking their creations to the next level at Carnival.
To provide and ensure a high standard carnival troupe, the team will be catering for 200 revelers come parade day, with patrons being satisfied with a premium carnival experience.
According to the Head of Promotions and Marketing Markysa O’loughlin, the costumes were inspired by the desire to express the rich St. Kitts and Nevis culture through the visual effects of the sky at various times of the day.
The entire production would be divided into five groups, namely, Morning Glory, Midday Sunday (which is the VIP group), Dusk to Dawn, Tegreman Sunset and Frigate Nightfall.
“Costumes range from $425 to $475. We have already began registration for custom orders for a November 16 deadline, which we allow revelers to fully customize their costumes to suit their individual taste, preferences and body types no matter which section they’re in,” O’loughlin said.
She added that for the custom designs, patrons can add a collar and choose a wire bra, a monokini or bikini for any section they please. “We are also often customization for the male costumes once requested before the deadline.”
