A press release issued by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force’s (RSCNPF) Press and Public Relations Officer, Inspector Vaughan Henderson, informs that on 13th April, 2011, officers of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), charged 19-year-old Jahari ‘Baddie’ Bart and 22-year-old Kelroy ‘C Face’ Hazel – both of St. Johnston’s Village – with Williams’ murder.
Williams tragically lost his life on the evening of 6th April, 2011 when he was at Buckley’s Estate. At about 9:20 that evening, reports suggest, he was gunned down and died on the scene.
The police communiqué further informs that George Street, Newtown resident, Kevis ‘Yellow’ Riley, was formally charged with the shooting death of Bijorn Richardson. Richardson met his untimely demise on 4th April, 2011. Reports indicate that sometime before 8:20 a.m., Richardson was performing landscaping duties at Dorset Park when a gunman entered from the northern gate and shot him multiple times. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The three accused men, MiyVue.com understands, have been remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison and police inform that investigations into the incidents are ongoing.
This publication was informed that Richardson was laid to rest on the evening of 14th April, 2011 and a candlelight vigil was held for Williams over the past weekend.
Richardson and Williams’ murders were the 5th and 6th to have occurred in the Federation for the year. Seven in total have been recorded, six in St. Kitts and one in Nevis.
