Three Shot in Lodge House, Two dead

Sometime after 8:00 this evening, received information suggesting that an incident had occurred in the Lodge Project area and that serious or even fatal injuries were sustained as a result.

Assistant Commissioner of Police with responsibility for Crime (ACP Crime), Ian Queeley, indicated to that he cannot provide much detail on the incident as the investigations were still in their preliminary stages.

He informed however that the incident occurred sometime after 7:00 p.m. and according to information he had received, three young males were shot in a house in that area and two were confirmed dead.

He said police were informed of the incident having received a report and after a call was made to “911”. Upon arrival at the scene, investigations began and Queeley further indicated that the survivor of the onslaught was rushed to the Joseph N. France General Hospital where he receives emergency medical treatment.

As for the identify of the deceased individuals, Queeley indicated that he could not release that information as it was not yet released to him. This media house however was informed that the deceased men are reportedly known as ‘Kimba’ and ‘Ken’. That information however, is yet to be confirmed.

The deaths of these young men mark the 9th and 10th to have occurred in the Federation of St. Christopher and Nevis for the year.

ACP Queeley indicated that as the police continue their investigations into the matter, the assistance of the public in solving the crime would be greatly appreciated.
