The Authority has confirmed that the main highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Annual ‘St. Kitts Experience’Awards. This year there are twelve awards in eight categories, which include Pillar of the Industry Award, Award of Excellence, Supervisor of the Year, Employee of the Year, People’s Choice Award, National Champion, Responsible Tourism Excellence and Legend of the Industry Award
The‘St. Kitts Experience’ Awards is a uniquely Caribbean evening experience with a mixture of entertainment, networking, and culinary enjoyment. The annual event is part of the St. Kitts Tourism Authority’s efforts to elevate service standards in the island’s hospitality industry and encourage the development of uniquely Caribbean visitor experiences, in order to enhance St. Kitts’competitive position in the regional and global tourism arena, said an Authority statement.
They have also announced that Mr. Will Casselton, Partner at Global Business Strategy Firm McKinney Rogers, will be the featured keynote speaker at this year’s Awards, slated for 7thNovember, 2012.
“I had the opportunity to become acquainted with Will through his recent work with the Caribbean Tourism Organisation (CTO), and was impressed with his pragmatic approach to empowering people to do what it takes to win,” said Minister of Tourism and International Transport, Senator Ricky Skerritt.“Will’s philosophy on leadership and bridging the gap between corporate strategy and actual implementation will be of interest to everyone in the room, and we are therefore very pleased that he has agreed to join us as our guest speaker,” concluded the Tourism Minister.
Mr. Casselton joined McKinney Rogers in October 2009 as a Partner and member of the global Leadership team where his responsibilities include client development; primarily focusing on Travel & Tourism, Retail & Consumer Goods sectors leading strategy and business execution programs. Prior to that, Will achieved success in careers in management consultancy and industry across a number of sectors internationally including Retail, Energy, Healthcare and Financial Services.
