Head of the Traffic Department, Inspector Cromwell Henry, in a radio interview on Monday, stated that over the weekend, he was very pleased with the level of compliance by motorists; adding that only some minor infractions occurred and his officers were able handle these with reasonable discretion.
He also reported that despite all the partying, no reports of drinking and driving were reported.
Henry revealed that their main objective was to ensure the safety and security of the people and their vehicles; and to ensure that there was easy access in and out of the venue and said that they accomplished that mission.
They had no need to use the tow truck for vehicles in violation and no stolen or damaged cars were reported. The same good fortune was the case with respect to theft of property from vehicles.
