Otherwise, details on Independence Day 2 are being held pretty close to the chest. Liam Hemsworth was previously said to have an offer for a role, and he’s reportedly in final talks for the role now. So with this news coming to the surfaced, maybe we’ll start seeing the whole cast revealed. After all, the film is still slated for release on June 24th, 2016 so production is going to have to begin in the next few months to meet that date, which will be just a week before the real 20th anniversary of the original Independence Day.
