Accompanied by Commissioner C.G. Walwyn and Lt. Ancil Alexander, the CID and Scenes of Crime personnel responded to the incident. Evidence they collected at the scene revealed there were two persons involved in an ambush shooting.
After an immediate and relentless joint island-wide search by the SSU, the Defence Force and Customs, five individuals including one of the suspects were arrested. The other was arrested after he made arrangements and safely surrendered to police.
Both men involved in the early Sunday morning shooting incident have been positively identified and formal charges will be brought against both men shortly.
No details have been provided so far on the other men arrested.
Police Commissioner Walwyn, Sunday night, thanked the security team for their enthusiasm to duty in their persistent tracking and apprehension of the individuals and said the quick response is part of his proposal of returning the streets to the Citizens of the Federation.
The 21-year-old Lodge Project resident was shot in the arm and legs about 1:00am Sunday, 24th September, 2011.
