A police release reported that Debbie Kaplan of St. Christopher Club, Frigate Bay, was formally charged for the offence of possession of cocaine which was committed on Monday 24th September 2012, while Leon Henry aka “Big Dread” of Upper College St. Kitts was also charged for the offences of possession of cocaine, possession of cocaine with intent to supply, possession of crack cocaine and possession of crack cocaine with Intent to Supply. 

Speaking with the public relations officer of the Royal St Christopher and Nevis Police Force Inspector Lyndon David, he told MiyVue.com that at the time of the interview, he was not in a position to provide greater details, which were not yet at his disposal. 

It was only recently that police here also carried out, with local customs officials and Dutch navy officers, a major cocaine bust in the territorial waters of St. Kitts, just outside of Old Road. 

The street value of that cocaine find was estimated to be over 11 million dollars and the main culprit, St. Lucian Vincent Clerice, was sentenced to 2 years in prison, had his boat seized for sale by auction and fined 1 million dollars.
