Eye witnesses told OBSERVER Media the collision occurred when a white Honda Accord heading south attempted to overtake a grey Toyota Tercel as it started to make a right turn. The Honda clipped the Toyota before smashing into a parked car and then into the wooden shack where the vendors were setting up a stall. The incident occurred shortly before 7pm last night.

Both people were taken by ambulance to Mount St John’s Medical Centre .
