To date some 50 students are enrolled in UCC online, with about 30 percent of the group being students from Antigua, Dominica, St. Vincent and Grenada and the remainder being Jamaican students.
UCC Online is a hybrid (online/on campus) programme which allows students to take advantage of both online learning interaction and interaction with experienced faculty during evening sessions. The online facility also allows students to maintain full-time employment while studying for their degrees.
Currently, the UCC is offering in its online environment the accredited bachelor degrees in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Marketing and Information Technology.
Applications for the UCC online degree programmes, starting on 27 March will close on 22 February 2011.
The UCC came into existence through a merger of two of Jamaica’s premier tertiary institutions, the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS) formed in 1972, and the
Institute of Management and Production (IMP) formed in 1976. The University has been in operation since 2004 and is accredited by the University Council of
Jamaica (UCJ).
Students wishing to register for the upcoming programme are invited to contact the local UCC representative, Savvy Corporate Planners+ at telephone 1-869-465-9628 or visit the UCC website at www.ucc.edu.jm.
