The program, said the financial institution, is designed to uncover and acknowledge “ordinary’ citizens within the community, who have provided dedicated service to others in various fields of endeavour.
It is intended to support those who give without consideration for reward or acclaim.
The event has become the bank’s premier activity in its portfolio of community support initiatives, not only in St. Kitts & Nevis, but throughout the entire Caribbean region.
A special ceremony has been planned for Tuesday 31st May, 2011, at the Ocean Terrace Inn, Fortlands, Basseterre, at 10:00am, to launch the program for this year.
Since the event was first started on 13th October, 2003, the winners from St. Kitts & Nevis have been Nigel Browne, Clarice Cotton, Earle Clarke, Ken Evelyn and Zack Nisbett.
The winner for this year has been identified as Joycelyn Liburd.
At Tuesday’s launch, presentations will be made by the Country Manager for the bank, Mr. G. Peter Edmunds, who will provide an overview of the activity. The local selection committee will also be announced.
