According to Ms. Michelle Demming, one of the event organisers, the Latin Fiesta is a social development program, to create awareness of the Latin music and culture. It also seeks to better the relationships with nationals of St. Kitts & Nevis and those residents in the federation who are from Spanish speaking countries.
Demming said the event was an idea constructed by Kajola- Kristada, which is also the main sponsor of the fiesta.
She added, they are very grateful for the support being provided by UPS and their local agents, Hobson Enterprises.
Meanwhile, the CEO of Hobson Enterprises, and representative for UPS, Mr. Damion Hobson, said that after the success of last year’s event, he thought that it was important to get on board this year, in the hope of seeing bigger and better things.
Joining Hobson for the presentation of the UPS sponsorship cheque, was Manager of UPS for the Eastern Caribbean, Mr. Alex Negron.
“On behalf of UPS we are very proud and honoured to be a part of this Latin festival”, Said Negron. He went on to say that Hobson Enterprise is a very essential instrument for UPS, in St. Kitts and Nevis, and that they are very pleased to join forces to support the festival.
Both UPS and Hobson Enterprises were thanked by the Director of the Festival Ms. Demming, for their Kind donation of $3, 700 and for supporting the event as a Gold Sponsor.
“On behalf of Chairman of the committee and the other committee members, I want to thank UPS and Hobson Enterprises, for coming on board with us as a Gold Sponsor,” said the event director.
She added that last year’s hosting of the Latin festival was very big, and she assured the public that this year will be even better.
