In front of a very small crowd filled with mostly special Olympians, the game started out with each team fielding three special Olympians on their side, with one of the three captaining the team for the evening.
Rules for the game were that once a special Olympian had the ball he couldn’t be offside and he couldn’t be touched by anyone who took the field and if they scored the team would have received two goals.
A special Olympian who was fielded by the Village Superstars received a ball inside the box took a shot and scored and sent the crowd into raptures with his celebration.
In the second half, both teams rested their special Olympians and played most of their veteran players. Later in the half the special Olympians returned to finish the game which ended 5-2 to the Rams Village Superstars.
At the end of the game both teams along with the special Olympians held hands and took a bow in front of the crowd.
Both teams received ribbons from Digicel and the wining team receiving a trophy as well.
The commentator suggested that they make this game an annual event with the two finalists.
The evening ended with the Willful Skillful Masters coming up against a Seventh Day Adventist Team.
