Bello has been with Virgin Atlantic since 2012 as the Caribbean’s Sales, Marketing and Communications Manager, leading his team to extraordinary growth in 2013. As part of a global regionalisation, he is a key member of the North America Team and reports directly to Chris Rossi, Senior Vice President.
Chris Rossi, SVP of North America said, “Andre’s made a great impact on the team since he joined us almost two years ago. He has a strong commercial focus and an excellent understanding of our business goals. I am confident that he will be able to continue the great success we have had in the region and ensure that we continue to focus on the overall customer experience.”
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Bello said, “Headquartered in Barbados, Virgin Atlantic will maintain its strong presence in the Caribbean. He explained, “In this highly competitive airline market we will continue to champion the customer experience in the region, ensuring the extra Virgin touch is layered onto the phenomenal service we’re loved for.”
Bello’s career has spanned over twenty-five years in sales and marketing leadership. While working as a medical representative with Novartis, he completed his MBA before joining the advertising industry as an Account Executive with Lonsdale Saatchi & Saatchi. He joined the financial services industry as General Manager, Marketing for the Maritime Financial Group in Trinidad. He then assumed the role of Marketing Manager for Jamaica Money Market Brokers in Jamaica.
Through his business novel “The Sword & the Spirit. A Negotiation Tale,” Mr Bello has influenced the approach to complex negotiations by corporate leaders across the Caribbean.
