Washie Calls for Marijuana to be decriminalized

During an interview on public radio on Tuesday this week, Archibald indicated that the only reason why he does not use marijuana is due to the fact that it is illegal and he doesn’t want to go to jail. He also stated that if it is ever becomes decriminalised he would drink it every morning.

Archibald also added that he has been studying the marijuana plant for years as he was ignorant of its benefits and use.

“When I wrote my first editorial at the Democrat I wrote a piece portraying marijuana as a deceptive thing that could make people addicted and make them foolish and useless.”

He added that he has since then, on occasions, carried out his own investigation on marijuana and mentioned that he first tried it shortly after opening a school in Irishtown to educate Rastafarians and was challenged to sample it and after doing it, he explained that he felt no effect of using it and added that after having some of the tea he came to the conclusion that there is nothing in this bush that people should go to jail for.

Archibald then questioned the reasons for cigarettes and alcohol being legal which have proven to be more dangerous to human health and mentioned that if he had not quit smoking it might have killed him. Archibald revealed that he had a lot of friends that perished due to alcohol use.

“If alcohol, which destroys families, and cigarettes which could destroy us are legalized and accepted by society, what happen to this common little weed, (marijuana)” asked Archibald.
